A thief stole a taxi after threatening the driver at Nesttun in Bergen on Sunday afternoon.

“We were contacted by the taxi driver. He said that he had been robbed and threatened with a knife. The suspect, a man, escaped with the car,” operations manager Tore Andre Brakstad in the Western Police District told the newspaper Bergensavisen.

The taxi was found after a short time in the Apeltun area, not too far from the crime scene. It was empty. The police are still looking for the robber.

The taxi driver has allegedly not been injured during the robbery. The police reported the robbery at 4:55 PM.
