US President Joe Biden says a major terrorist threat to the world was neutralized in the attack on the ISIS leader in Syria. The ISIS leader blew himself up, Biden revealed on Thursday.

In a short speech in the White House, Biden said that the United States did everything it could to prevent civilian casualties in the attack on ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi.

Biden said he ordered US forces to “take every precaution available to minimize civilian casualties,” the reason they did not conduct an airstrike on the home.

According to several reports, at least 13 civilians died after the attack. Biden says the ISIS leader blew himself up – along with several family members.

He chose to blow up the whole floor rather than answer for the misdeeds he has done, Biden said.

He also expressed gratitude to the forces that carried out the operation.

“Thanks to the bravery of our troops this horrible terrorist leader is no more,” Biden added. He noted that al-Qurayshi had been responsible for the prison strike, as well as genocide against the Yazidi people in Iraq in 2014.
