US President Joe Biden has posted a video of his conversation with NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg, in which he says he wants to rebuild the alliance.

Biden also used the conversation to praise Stoltenberg for his role in maintaining NATO in recent years.

“I want to thank you for your leadership and your personal diplomacy over the last few years. You have been invaluable,” the newly installed US president said.

Biden’s predecessor Donald Trump was very NATO-skeptical. He called the alliance outdated in his 2016 election campaign.

“I want to rebuild and re-establish our alliances, and I want to start with NATO. As you know from before, I very much support our common defense, based on common democratic values,” Biden said during the phone call.

  1. VERY good to see President Biden and us Americans strongly and openly supporting NATO and Article 5 collective defense – as long as it is *defense* – being upheld.

The mention of climate – which is very much a(n inter)national security concern, as the Pentagon stressed even in its funded 2003 Abrupt Climate Change Scenario study – is also appreciated.

And with China’s most recent threat against Taiwan, NATO’s willingness to extend *deterrence* into Asia and the Pacific – to become a World Treaty Organization? – is deeply appreciated.

However, if Biden and Stoltenberg intend on making Ukraine and other Russian buffer states full NATO members – as Biden has been pushing since 2009 – they *will* start World War 3 and not just against Russia.

And, again, a few years ago RAND Corp. warned Congress that even then *either* Russia or China could defeat/destroy us (all) in a war, and our/Bush2&Biden&Obama neocon/”liberal interventionist” policies and aggressions have made them *allies*.

    Sivillforsvars?! (Civil defense?!)
