Biltema withdraws five-liter water jugs after possible mold discovery
If you have bought a five-liter jug of water from Biltema, there may be mold particles in it. The jugs are being withdrawn from the market.
The jugs that are being withdrawn from the market have been sold between March 1 and July 6, 2021.
Consumers are asked not to drink the water, which can be returned to Biltema’s store for a refund.
The reason for the recall is that a consumer has reported a possible discovery of mold particles in unopened jugs of drinking water.
The batch in question has been sold from March 1, 2021 in the following department stores: Kristiansand, Steinkjer, Tromsø, Bergen Åsane, Bodø, Lyngdal, Bergen Drotningsvik, Bø in Telemark, Lillehammer, Valdres, Elverum, Narvik, Egersund, and Bryne.
A total of 1,680 of these jugs of water have been produced, and up to 360 jugs may have reached consumers, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority states.
