BioNTech-Pfizer will speed up the delivery of 50 million vaccine doses to the EU
BioNTech-Pfizer will accelerate the delivery of 50 million corona vaccine doses to the EU.
The 50 million doses are in addition to the 200 million doses that were already planned for the second quarter of this year.
The European Commission’s (EC) chief Ursuela von der Leyen stated that the EU is negotiating a huge contract with Pfizer that will extend supplies until 2023.
It involves the purchase of 1.8 billion doses.
“We must focus on technologies that have shown what they are worth,” von der Leyen said.
