Boat sinks at Karmøy, two men in their 20s rescued

Two men were picked up from the sea between Karmøy and Vestre Bokn in Rogaland on Tuesday night after their boat sank.

According to the Southwestern Police District, they reported that the boat they were in was about to sink.

The Rescue Coordination Center coordinated the rescue operation, and the two men in their 20s were picked up by a boat.

“They were rescued and transported to Skudeneshavn. There, they were examined by a doctor. They were transported to Haugesund Hospital. The police have spoken to them, and according to the circumstances, they should be fine,” André Skram Hansen at Haugesund police station told newspaper Haugesunds Avis.

He said that the emergency call from the two came at 1:25 AM on Tuesday. At 1:51 AM, the two were rescued from the sea.

The boat they were in sank. It is not yet clear why the boat sank.
