Bodø Municipality is introducing strict measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. From night to Saturday, among other things, fitness centers will be closed and alcohol serving will be banned.

Swimming pools, water parks, spa facilities, bingo halls, playgrounds, bowling alleys, and the like must also be closed.

Certain exceptions are made for individual treatment and training, as well as swimming for top athletes, school swimming, swimming courses, and swimming training.

Limited social contact

Private gatherings in homes and holiday homes with more than five guests are also not allowed. Private indoor events in rented premises can have a maximum of ten people present at the same time.

At public indoor events, there can be 100 people if everyone in the audience is placed in fixed seats. Otherwise, the maximum is ten people.

The measures will apply until Saturday, March 6 but could be extended.

Bodø Municipality has registered 14 new corona cases in the last 24 hours. Half of the cases currently have an unknown route of infection.
