Bollestad calls Putin a war criminal
Leader of the Christian Democrats (KRF) Olaug Bollestad believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin has set aside all respect for Ukraine.
“Putin is a war criminal. Putin has thrown aside all respect for his own neighbor – at all levels. Broken international agreements. Ignored the international legal order. Raw use of force has been and is Putin’s recipe.
“There is no reason to believe that indulgence on the part of the West will appease Putin,” Bollestad said in the Norwegian parliament (Storting) after Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre’s statements about the war in Ukraine on Friday.
US President Joe Biden has also called Putin a war criminal. Støre, on the other hand, has said that he does not want to resort to such labels.
