British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss says it is still very likely that Russian forces will carry out an invasion of large parts of Ukraine.
“It is very likely that Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning an attack on Ukraine’s capital Kyiv,” Truss told Sky News.
At the same time, Truss says that all sanction options are still on the table if that happens and that a full-scale invasion of Ukraine will trigger stricter sanctions.
“Unfortunately, Russian forces have surrounded Ukraine, so we do not know exactly where it will happen. However, we will recognize it when we see it and react immediately,” Truss added.
