A man in his 70s has been sentenced to six years in prison for raping his grandson several times from Easter of 2016 to autumn 2019.
He is also sentenced to pay out NOK 250,000 in reparation, newspaper Bergens Tidende (BT) writes.
“This is a good and thorough verdict in a very serious case,” public prosecutor Ellen Cathrine Greve said.
The man was arrested in 2019. He disagrees with the result but will take time to consider whether to appeal the verdict.
“We will probably appeal the verdict,” the man’s lawyer Alexander Sele noted.
