Helse Bergen states that a case of the Brazilian mutated virus has been confirmed for the first time, according to the newspaper.

It is not yet known whether this is the first known case in Norway.

The mutated variant was first discovered in northern Brazil and is apparently more contagious and more resistant to the vaccines.

The National Institute of Public Health’s (FHI) website only contains information about the variants from Great Britain and South Africa.

Previously, the Brazilian virus variant was discovered in Denmark and the United Kingdom, among other places.
