A truck and a car collided on Gaulabrua on the E6 in Midtre Gauldal on Tuesday morning. The driver of the car died in the accident.
“This was a frontal collision… We have received confirmation that the driver of the car has died,” operations manager Rune Brandmo in Trøndelag Police District told news bureau NTB.
Relatives are about to be notified, the police informed on Twitter at 9 o’clock. According to the operations manager, the truck driver seems to be unharmed.
The E6 was closed for a period after the accident, and traffic was redirected via the old E6 through Støren center.
Forensic scientists were on site Tuesday morning. The police were notified of the accident at 6:54 AM on Tuesday.
