Cemetery in Kragerø targeted by vandals, 13 tombstones overturned

A total of 13 tombstones were overturned in the cemetery at Skåtøy church in Kragerø on Friday night.
“The foundations have also been demolished, and we are talking about heavy stones, so a great deal of effort has been put into demolishing them. It is sad and completely incomprehensible,” leader of the Skåtøy parish council, Terje Tolner, told newspaper Varden.
The newspaper Kragerø Blad Vestmar first wrote about the incident.
Tolner hopes that the police will investigate the case and says that he has found a beer can on the spot, which he is happy to hand over to the police.
“It could have an occasional fingerprint or other DNA trace,” he said.
