The Center Party’s (SP) politician Kjersti Toppe wants Norway to follow Denmark and Austria and open up to creating second-generation corona vaccines with Israel.

Toppe will submit a written question to Minister of Health Bent Høie in the Norwegian parliament (Storting) about the issue, newspaper Nationen writes.

“If EU countries can do it, we must also be able to do it. There does not seem to be anything stopping us from doing that.

“In any case, the Minister of Health must come up with a better explanation than the government has come up with so far if they do not want to do this,” Toppe said.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen travels to Israel on Thursday to discuss the matter with her Israeli and Austrian colleagues.
