Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) admits that it is challenging to get young people to follow the infection advisory during summer vacation  after months with strict Corona measures.

-” It is difficult to keep up the discipline after a long period where people have really followed our rules and regulations.” Solberg said in connection with a live interview with Time Magazine Thursday evening.

The Prime Minister mentioned how Norway handled the Corona pandemic and how the situation is today.

-” Even if we remind people about social distancing of 1 meter, it is a challenge to get people to follow this. We see people between 20 and 29 years old are the age group mostly being infected today, and they party and are very sosial during summer vacation.” she said.

-” Summer is important when one is young.” the Prime Minister said.

Solberg also talked about the situation back in March. When the pandemic seriously hit Europe and Norway. At the beginning Norway was at the top in regards to the number of infections globally.

-” We were number 4 in the list of countries with the most infected in March. There are still people being infected today in Norway, but there are only a handful of people, and i feel that we are in control.”, said the Prime Minister

The talk show “Time 100 Talks” is a part of the campaign for this year’s “Time 100” list, where the American news magazine, TIme, names the 100 most influential people in the world.

Solberg was interviewed by Time’s international editor Dan Steward and plenty of other famous people were involved. Among them, American senator, Tim Scott.
