Now you can easily check whether you stay within the duty-free quota. A new app helps you keep track.
Finance Minister Siv Jensen and the heads of Customs announced the world’s first quota-app at Oslo airport on Thursday.
The app tells you what is free quota and how much alcohol and tobacco you can bring before you must declare.
You can also use the app to pay if you go over your quota. If you have done that, you can go through green zone at customs and show a receipt if you are checked.
In the long term it will be possible to declare several items such as luggage using the app, said Customs Directorate.
