Corona infection in the country is increasing, and several companies have decided to cancel or postpone this year’s Christmas dinner party.

On Thursday, all employees in the Kongsberg Group and FMC were notified that this year’s Christmas dinner party would be canceled again, the newspaper Laagendalsposten writes. Several hotels report cancellations.

General manager Kari Tveiten at Lampeland hotel says that some large groups have canceled their Christmas dinner parties due to infection pressure.

“There are some people who have made reservations during the last week and want a Christmas dinner party here, and there are also some large groups who have canceled,” she told the newspaper.

On Friday, the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) stated that there are no plans for new national recommendations for Christmas dinner parties. However, the FHI encouraged everyone to keep the pandemic in mind.
