The Color Line Kiel ferry Color Fantasy is docked due to the infection situation and the Norwegian authorities’ regulations. Another 400 employees will be laid off.
“Reduction of capacity is, unfortunately, necessary once again, and it is crucial that the government and the Norwegian parliament (Storting) set up compensation schemes both this autumn and next year,” CEO Trond Kleivdal At Color Line said in a press release.
From November 4, the remaining Kiel ferry Color Magic will sail on a customized timetable with goods and passengers.
However, passengers will have to be on board throughout the journey without going to land in Kiel, Germany.
Freight traffic between Oslo and Kiel is secured with Color Magic and the cargo ship MS Color Carrier.
Furthermore, MS SuperSpeed 1 and 2 secure freight traffic between Hirtshals, Larvik, and Kristiansand.
