The Government has appointed a committee to investigate how children can be protected from harmful media content.

The committee will mainly propose preventive measures that make children safer and more competent in the encounter with digital services.

They should also consider how children themselves produce, publish and share online. The investigation shall be submitted to the Ministry of Education before 1 July 2020.

Lawyer Jon Wessel-Aas heads the committee.

With him he has child and youth psychiatrists Melanie Ekholdt Huynh, associate professor Daniel Schofield, associate professor Ola Johan Settem, professor Elisabeth Staksrud, police officer Anne Katrin Storsveen and postdoctoral doctor Thomas Wold.
