Corona-critical frogman in the Danish defense forces fired

A corona-skeptical frogman in the Danish defense forces has been fired for trying to assemble a network that was supposed to start a violent revolution in Denmark. The newspaper Berlingske covered the story of the frogman in the reserve forces.

In May, he visited a colleague from the diving corps and tried to recruit him to what the Danish Ministry of Defence Personnel Agency believes is a plan for an armed revolution.

The now-dismissed frogman has given the newspaper access to his resignation papers. The papers say that the purpose of his visit to a colleague was to recruit him to a form of network that already supposedly consisted of influential people, including several high-ranking Danish officers.

The dismissed person believes that the agency has taken things out of context and that the conclusions are completely wrong. He says it was not a conspiracy but rather an expression of concern about the government’s corona handling.

The frogman in question has made a name for himself within the diving corps in recent months, not least when he made a speech in uniform during a Men In Black demonstration against corona restrictions on May 15 in Copenhagen.

This brought him to the attention of the Armed Forces’ Intelligence Service, but the speech did not trigger the dismissal, Berlingske writes. The man’s contract ran until November 2021 but has now been terminated.
