Two women who refused to pay the fines they received for violating the corona provisions in Bergen in November last year will have their appeal processed in the Gulating Court of Appeal.

In June, in Bergen District Court, the women were sentenced to pay fines of NOK 12,000 and NOK 6,000, respectively.

The party in an apartment in Sandviken had far more participants than what was then allowed by the regulations in Bergen at the time. The regulations stated that it was forbidden to have more than five people gather in private homes.

The case was the first of its kind, the newspaper Bergensavisen writes.

The two women have Jon Jon Elden as defense counsel for the appeal case.
