26 pupils at Åskollen school in Drammen have been quarantined after a pair of siblings at the school has been found infected by the coronavirus, reports Drammen municipality.

However, according to chief district medic John David Johannessen, there is no reason to believe that the two siblings have been infected at school.

26 fellow pupils in the classes of the two, along with two teachers are considered as close contacts and are thus quarantined for 10 days.

In addition, an employee at the Fjell bo- og servicesenter in Drammen has been diagnosed with corona infection. This has resulted in 25 residents and three other employees being quarantined.

  1. Did those teachers have their windows open for VENTILATION to get outside air and thin the possible – probable – virus’s “viral load”/density of its aerosol/vapor? … let alone any droplets spewed by the kids.

Thanks for posting this, Norway Today. I nearly took the train through Drammen yesterday.

Meanwhile FHI director Camilla Stoltenberg is now claiming the lockdown was excessive … as though “social distancing” – like in Sweden? – would have been enough?

NO, against something this fast, sneaky, and deadly you need to err on the side of caution … if you err … and Erna Solberg and Bent Høie obviously did not make any mistake ordering extreme lockdown/isolation early. Just look at the numbers.

Stoltenberg’s approach would have endangered us all. She should be dismissed like Tegnell in Sweden should have been dismissed months ago.

And having everyone facemask in public – especially on public transportation – or in bars/pubs *would* be doing *everything* possible to keep the virus from building its base and momentum again.

Norway’s stopping of the virus was a TREMENDOUS victory at significant (economic and social) sacrifice and should not be thrown away by any overconfidence some appear to be drawing from that victory.
