Several people in the Norwegian Eurovision delegation who accompanied the artist Tix to the Netherlands have tested positive for COVID-19.

The information has been confirmed to TV 2 by editor-in-chief Eirik Sandberg Ingstad at NRK Entertainment.

One member of the delegation tested positive on the day of departure on May 23, remained in the Netherlands, and was placed in isolation. The head of the delegation stayed in Rotterdam to take care of the person in question, he said.

Since then, more infection cases have been detected.

“Everyone is fine”

“After the others in the delegation came home to Norway and were quarantined, there were six more positive tests. Everyone is taken care of and followed up locally.

“For privacy reasons, we can not reveal who tested positive, but we can state that everyone is fine – in line with the circumstances,” Ingstad added.

Andreas “Tix” Haukeland is not among those infected.
