A corona-infected man in his 50s in Våler died on Friday morning in his home, confirms Mayor Reidar Kaabbel.
– The man who recently tested positive for COVID-19, died suddenly and unexpectedly in his home at 8 o’clock on 14 August, the municipality writes on its website.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was initiated, but the man was pronounced deceased by a doctor on the spot.
The municipality states that the deceased had tested positive for COVID-19 the week before and had symptoms of corona infection after a trip to a country in the Nordic countries (formerly a green country).
“I want to express my deepest sympathy with the relatives and others bereaved in this difficult time. This is very sad. We have lost one of our own,” says Mayor Reidar Kaabbel.
