Trondheim Municipality decided to close the testing station at Leangen due to cold, while Bergen decided to close the Spelhaugen station.

“Due to the low temperatures we have now, it is no longer justifiable for the personnel to test people outside. The station will be closed from 3:30 PM on Thursday, February 4, and is currently closed until February 5,” Trondheim Municipality stated in a press release.

On Friday, the Municipality will consider whether the station will reopen on Saturday.

“There is currently little infection, and indoor test capacity at the Leütenhaven test station is good. The closure will therefore have few consequences for the inhabitants,” the Municipality added.

Testing station in Skaun in Trøndelag also closed

If the severe cold persists, and there are capacity problems at Leütenhaven, the Municipality will open the test station in Klæbu.

The station can be opened in 24 hours.

People who have signed up for testing at Leangen will be contacted and given information about a change of the testing location in the next few days.

According to Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK), the testing station in Skaun in Trøndelag is also closed.

In Bergen, the station at Spelhaugen is closed, but at the same time, the capacity has been expanded at Festplassen and the Bergen emergency room, NRK reports.
