Court case: Espen Andersen Bråthen admits criminal guilt for entire Kongsberg attack

Espen Andersen Bråthen, the man accused of killing five people in Kongsberg last autumn, pleaded guilty when the trial against him began on Wednesday.

“I admit criminal guilt for the entire indictment,” Andersen Bråthen said when judge Liv Synnøve Taralsrud asked him if he admitted criminal guilt for all or parts of the indictment.

On October 13 last year, Andersen Bråthen attacked random people in Kongsberg with a bow and arrow and a knife.

He has been charged with the murder of five people, eleven attempted murders, and 13 cases of making serious threats. He is also charged with several other offenses, including throwing a knife at three police officers.

There are a total of 31 victims in the case.
