New corona measures could be introduced in Moss after the Municipality’s crisis management team meets on Sunday evening.

In the last 24 hours, 19 new cases of infection have been registered in the city.

“We have an increasing infection trend, and we see that most people who are diagnosed with corona in Moss have the UK variant. This is serious.

“Now we have worked through the weekend to get a good overview. I will inform the crisis management team about my assessments tonight, and even though nothing has been decided, we must be prepared for new restrictions,” municipal chief medical officer Kristian Krogshus noted in a press release.

Moss is in dialogue with the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) and has been working throughout the weekend to assess necessary measures.

Out of the 19 infected people, 15 are known close contacts of other infected persons, while four have an unknown infection route.

Two of the infected are under 18 years old. A total of 1,117 people in Moss have been infected during the pandemic.
