Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit visited Pride
Park in Oslo on Thursday. ‘’An important recognition’’ said The Society for Gender and Sexuality Diversity (FRI).
It was the first time the Crown Prince and Princess had visited the event.
“This is an important recognition of Oslo Pride and human rights, and
can help send a positive signal to the rest of society” said Ingvild
Endestad, head of FRI.
Together with Mayor Marianne Borgen of Sosialistisk Venstreparti (SV), the Crown Princely couple were included on a tour of Endestad
with festival manager, Fredrik Dreyer of Oslo Pride.
‘’It is great and important that the royal couple have visited Oslo Pride.
Over the years, the royal couple have been clear role models and supporters in the struggle for gender equality and diversity in Norway’’ said Dreyer.
