Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon sent French President Emmanuel Macron his deepest condolences after the attack in Nice.
“I have followed the recent horrific events in France with sadness. The savage attacks on individuals we have witnessed are at the same time attacks on fundamental human rights and the democratic values on which we build our societies.
“We stand with you, the French people, in solidarity to protect these,” the Crown Prince Regent wrote.
He sent his deepest condolences on behalf of himself, his family, and the Norwegian people.
“I ask you to pass on my deepest sympathy to the bereaved and to the French people,” Haakon wrote.
