Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon will travel to Mozambique on Wednesday as planned but his visit to Kenya has been cancelled because the country’s President Daniel arap Moi passed away this week.

The Kenyan authorities have declared national mourning after the president’s death on February 4 and cancelled all official programmes.

“The Crown Prince’s official visit to Kenya next week unfortunately cannot be carried out as planned and is therefore postponed,” said a statement from the Kongehuset.

Development Minister Dag Inge Ulstein (KrF) and District and Digitization Minister Linda Hofstad Helleland (H) are on the delegation during the two-day trip to Mozambique, reports VG.
