Crown Princess Mette-Marit will not visit Kirkenes on Friday due to sickness
Crown Princess Mette-Marit has fallen ill and will not go to Kirkenes along with Crown Prince Haakon on Friday.
Sven Gjeruldsen, assistant communications manager at the Royal Palace, confirmed the information to NTB.
The pair was scheduled to visit Kirkenes to learn more about how the current tense situation in Europe affects the lives of people in Sør-Varanger, which borders Russia.
On Friday, the Palace informed Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) that King Harald would return to work on Friday and end his sick leave.
He went on sick leave after being diagnosed with corona on March 22.
