Crown Princess Mette-Marit will represent Norway when UN’s former Secretary-General Kofi Annan’s funeral in Ghana on Thursday, September 13th.
Kofi Annan will be laid to rest in a state funeral in Ghana’s capital of Accra on September 13, where the Crown Princess will be present.
Annan died August 18 after short-term illness, 80 years old.
He was the UN Secretary-General from 1997 to 2006 and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2001 with the UN to revitalize the UN and contributed to a better organized and peaceful world.
Annan was born in Ghana in 1938.
