“There are side effects that occur from time to time, which we must take into account,” the Norwegian Medicines Agency’s chief physician Sigurd Hortemo told Dagbladet.

The situation in Norway does not provide a basis for putting the entire vaccination process on pause, Hortemo added.

Earlier in the day, the Norwegian Medicines Agency said that it would examine all reported side effects of coronavirus vaccination to look for traces of blood clots.

Denmark and several European countries have stopped using the vaccine due to suspicion that it can lead to severe blood clots. There is one death in Denmark allegedly related to the case.

No connection has been established between the cases and the vaccine.
