The Norwegian Meteorological Institute issued a warning for strong gusts of wind in Northern Norway and Sør-Troms on Friday night.

From Thursday evening and up to Friday night, a southwesterly stiff to strong gale is expected, with strong gusts of 27-30 meters per second.

The danger warning applies to the areas of Salten, Ofoten, Lofoten, Vesterålen, and Sør-Troms, the Meteorological Institute reports.

The institute recommends securing loose objects and avoiding traffic in exposed areas.

Further north, in Troms, a danger warning has been issued for a lot of rain. There may be difficult driving conditions locally with surface water and some danger of flooding in certain places.
