A final and long-term plan for phasing out the coronavirus restrictions in Denmark will be presented within two weeks, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen promised.

At a short press conference on Wednesday, Frederiksen said that all political parties in the Danish parliament (Folketing) would start negotiations on the reopening plan on Friday.

A final plan will be presented by March 23.

“We will make sure that Denmark is well prepared when we enter the autumn season,” Frederiksen said but added that, at present, it is impossible to know how the pandemic situation will look like then.

In recent weeks, the Prime Minister has had meetings with the various parties in the Folketing to hear their opinions on reopening Danish society.
