According to Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, corona testing is here to stay, and Denmark's residents must prepare to be tested up to several times a week.

Vaccines can’t be the only tool in the fight against the coronavirus, and testing will, according to Frederiksen, be a larger part of everyday life in the future.

“Testing is here to stay, and we need to expand it even more,” Frederiksen told Berlingske on Saturday.

She says people need to be prepared for frequent testing.

“It is a fundamental part of the strategy to have a more open society than today,” she noted.

In the interview, Frederiksen also said that the production of vaccines supported by Danish tax funds in collaboration with the business community would ensure sufficient vaccine deliveries.
