Police are looking for witnesses after a man was found dead in Sandvedparken in Sandnes on Sunday. Police are still investigating the case as a suspicious death.

The man in his 40s was found by passers-by just before 10 AM on Sunday.

“He had no injuries to the body that were of the nature that they would end in death. There were some visible scratches on the face/head that could just as easily be from a fall,” section leader for investigations in Sandnes, Elisabeth Vorland, told the newspaper Sandnesposten.

The man, who is from Eritrea, was allegedly on his way to work. The police are sure that he left Austrått for work at 6:45 AM. Now the police are asking witnesses to get in touch.

“We are particularly interested in people who were at Sandvedparken between 6:45 and 7.30 AM on Sunday,” Vorland said.
