A dead person has been found at the landslide site in Gjerdrum – it is probably the last person that was missing after the quick clay landslide in December.

“The relatives of the last missing person have been informed of the discovery,” the police said.

Efforts are being made to extract the dead person from the site. The discovery was made in the lower part of the landslide.

“A forensic autopsy will be performed, among other things, to confirm the identity,” the police added.

Ten people died in the quick clay landslide. 49-year-old Rasa Lasinskiene was the last person missing.

Seven people were found relatively shortly after the December 30 landslide. 50-year-old Ann-Mari Olsen-Næristorp and 13-year-old Victoria Emilie Næristorp-Sørengen were found on February 9.

So far, it is not known what triggered the landslide.
