One person has been found dead in connection with the house that burned down on Osterøy, the Western Police District reports.

The person has not yet been identified, the police said on Saturday night.

According to a press release, it was too early to say anything about the cause of the incident on Saturday, and the police continued to work at the address throughout Saturday evening.

Forensic technicians from the police were on-site on Saturday to conduct crime scene investigations.

Police began investigating the explosion and fire in a house on Osterøy north of Bergen on Saturday. They received a report at 8:39 AM from several sources.

The police moved out to the scene together with the emergency services. The case is being investigated at Osterøy sheriff’s office.
