A person has been found dead on a walking path at Slependen in Bærum. Police are on the scene, and the detective is on his way.
The Oslo police operations manager, Gjermund Stokkli, told news bureau NTB that they do not want to reveal the age or gender of the person for the time being.
“We do not know how long the person has been there or what has happened,” Stokkli said, adding that the deceased is an adult.
“There are no clear signs at the site that indicate that something criminal has happened. But we leave all possibilities open,” Stokkli noted.
They have cordoned off a large area and are working to identify the person and notify relatives.
The body was found by hikers, who called the police at 12:09 PM.
