A suspicious discovery of what was thought to be a dead person turned out to be a doll. “Good news,” the Trøndelag police say.

The police cordoned off an area and made preliminary investigations after a witness reported a dead person at a parking lot on the E6 south of Ulsberg in Rennebu on Monday afternoon.

“It turns out that it was not a dead person. It was a wrapped, lifelike doll,” prosecutor Bente Bøklepp in the Trøndelag Police District stated.

She explained that the circumstances surrounding the discovery gave rise to the suspicion of a suspicious death.

“Good news”

“The fact that it turned out that it was not a dead person is good news,” prosecutor Bente Bøklepp said.

How the doll ended up at the edge of the forest on the E6 is still unknown.

Bøklepp told the newspaper Adresseavisen that the doll was wrapped in several layers of plastic.
