Denmark and Sweden are donating 3 million corona vaccine doses each to developing countries through the Covax collaboration.

“From the Danish side, we can already announce that we will give 3 million vaccines during the current year,” Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated on Monday.

She added that the donation would go to the global vaccine collaboration Covax under the auspices of the World Health Organization (WHO).

On Tuesday, Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven promised to donate “at least 3 million doses.”

EU countries have promised to donate at least 100 million vaccine doses to Covax by the end of the year.
