Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen says new infection control measures are needed after almost 10,000 new corona cases were registered in one day.

According to the Danish health authorities, 9,999 new corona cases were registered in the country from Wednesday to Thursday.

At the same time, the number of patients with COVID-19 in the country’s intensive care units is increasing.

In a message on Twitter, PM Frederiksen wrote that the infection is, unfortunately, and as expected, “very, very high.”

“The authorities will provide an update later today. And I have no doubt that new measures will be needed,” she noted.
