From July 1, the government in Denmark will increase the number of allowed standing spectators at outdoor events from 2,000 to 5,000.

“It is great that it will now be possible to gather more people for this summer’s festivals, concerts, and other outdoor events,” Minister of Culture Joy Mogensen said on Thursday afternoon.

The agreement in connection with the reopening of Denmark states that, for example, festivals can only have a total of 2,000 guests in sections of a maximum of 1,000 people.

But after dialogue with several industry organizations, the Ministry of Culture has decided to increase the maximum number of participants to 5,000.

“I hope that the industry succeeds in giving the public some good experiences,” Mogensen added.
