The Danish authorities hope to get all households that use gas boilers to switch to another energy source within a few years.

In an interview with the newspaper Berlingske, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that the 400,000 households that currently use gas heating would switch to another energy source – district heating or individual heat pumps.

Director Kim Mortensen, director of Dansk Fjernvarme, believes that 250,000 households will be able to switch to district heating and that the process will take up to seven years.
