In Drammen, 37 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the last 24 hours. Six of them have an unknown route of infection.

The new infection cases are, among other things, associated with the upper secondary school Akademiet in Sundland. Both teachers and students have been quarantined, as well as children and employees in Dalegårdsveien kindergarten.

At the Svelvik nursing home, two employees have been quarantined due to infection, but no residents have been affected.

In the last two weeks, 645 cases of infection have been registered in the Municipality.

“It is positive that the number of infected in the last 14 days has decreased three days in a row, but we can not yet conclude that the number of infection cases is declining.

“From yesterday’s 19 cases of infection, today’s number of infected people shows that it still varies a lot from day to day. Thirty-seven infection cases is a high number, so we still have some demanding weeks ahead of us,” infection control chief Einar Sagberg said.
