A total of 54 people in Drammen Municipality have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the last 24 hours. Currently, the route of infection is unknown for five of the cases.

On its website, Drammen Municipality stated that 39 of the cases are close contacts of previously confirmed cases.

For five of the people, the infection route is unknown, while the infection tracking has not been completed for ten people.

Last week, 285 new infection cases were detected in Drammen, which is the highest number during a seven-day period since November 18 last year.

The Drammen local authorities decided on Sunday to reintroduce local regulations to limit the spread of corona infection.

“Continuous assessments are made of whether the measures that have now been introduced are sufficient or whether we must consider even stricter measures to stop the spread of infection,” Drammen Mayor Monica Myrvold Berg (AP) said.
