Dreaming of owning a prison? Norway is selling two
Do you have a dream of owning a prison? The Norwegian Directorate of Public Construction and Property (Statsbygg) has put Arendal prison and Hof prison up for sale.
The price estimate for Arendal prison is set at NOK 8.1 million. The prison has been on the market since Agder prison was opened this summer.
The new prison has 100 places in Mandal and 200 places in Froland.
Hof prison has no price quote. It was closed down in 2019 and is located 20 km north of Holmestrand center.
