The police are looking for a driver who escaped after an accident on the E6 near Klemetsrud in Oslo. One car caught fire after the accident.
The Oslo Police District was notified of the accident at 3:15 AM, operations manager Alexander Østerhaug told NTB.
“There was a report of an accident, and a car driving into the guardrail. It eventually caught fire, but the fire brigade got it under control. The driver is gone, so we are looking for him now,” says Østerhaug.
At 5 o’clock the police stated that the car had been removed from the road.
The police do not know whether the driver is injured. They also have no concrete idea about who was driving the car.
“We have a registration number and know who owns the car. We are working on getting hold of the owner,” Østerhaug said.
