Pay extra attention when you are out driving in the next few days. Snow and cold weather can create difficult driving conditions, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration notes.

“After several weeks of cold and stable weather that has provided good driving conditions, we are now moving towards a weather change.

“There will be precipitation in the form of snow. Since it is still cold, this can lead to slippery roads, so we encourage motorists to drive according to the (road) conditions,” section leader Asbjørn Stensrud in the Norwegian Public Roads Administration noted.

The Eastern Police District reports that there have already been some minor accidents on the E6 north of Oslo.

“Slippery roads have been reported in connection with the snow. We urge motorists to drive according to the conditions,” the police wrote on Twitter.
